Random Thought #1 Jinn in Islam – 4th dimension (assume existence)

As I said, these are random thoughts and they’re pretty much as they come to my head so here it is:

In the Qur’an in Islam, there are said to be Jinn. Beings of fire (as opposed to earth, like humans) that existed long before humans were around.

Now, before I say my thought on them, there are things you need to know on the definition of Jinn in Islam – for the purpose of this, assume them to be true:

  • They are not visible to the human eye.
  • They can see us but we cannot see them.
  • They have their own societies and are, socially, similar to us in that they form their own communities and have religions and all that.
  • Like humans, there are good and bad Jinns
  • They can interact with humans if they want to and appear on our world in various forms – e.g. a cat, a snake, another human.
  • They can manipulate space  (e.g. one story is where a Jinn reported he could fetch the Prophet Solomon the Queen of Yemen’s throne in an instant.)

Taking the above as true, is it reasonable to say that Jinn are fourth dimensional beings?

Having read (haha nope) watched Flatland, it seems to be the case that these Jinn would be fourth dimensional creatures. Now, I’m just wondering if the same could be said for ghosts? If one also assumes these paranormal things to be true also, could it be said that an apparition such as spirits are, in fact, inhabiting the same space but in four dimensions?

Similarly to how I can see the inside of a 2D house that inhabits the same space with me, these creatures on the fourth dimension would be able to see me (and all my insides *yuck*).
